Hey guys I own a 93 ranger 5 speed with thru 4.0 L
If I were to add at 4 inch lift and run 33s with the stock gearing of
373 ls in my 8.8 rear what type of driving issues and differences might I run into?
Assuming I did not do the drive shaft swap?
I had 33s and stock 4.10 in my 96 4.0 Ranger and it really made a noticeable drag on performance. I would expect 33s with 3.73s to be damn near undriveable unless you wind every gear

Its hard just to get into first , and shifting to soon leads to that rumbling low end vibration I was just hoping some one had the answers, also what type of fuel mileage differences with the 4.10? I can easily swap a 4.10 rear in it and get the front rebuilt
Stock the 4.0s made like 150hp at the crank and last i checked there isnt a lot available in the performance department. Someone sold a supercharger deal but it was around $2500 and made a total of about 250hp.
I think with the od manual trans id go 4.56 and forget about dumping a bunch of money into the engine.
Thats unfortunate .I saw that guys supercharger lol wish I had the money. I was just thinking a nice exhaust intake and remap or chip what ever can be done there . Well I guess I'll be hitting the salvage yard thanks guys
