Yeah i got between a 260-300 mile trip just to get back to Murdo. It just depends what way i take. Im use to going out there about twice a month during the school year, now im going to be lucky to make it out there 1 more time before the end of the semseter of school. My deer is going to have to wait till next year.

Yeah its good to have a few west river guys here. Maybe someday we can have a sub chapter for WR.
Iversen, do you bog? I don't. I enjoy it but have never raced. A guy I work with is the head of the racing club down here.
My 77 looks like the one in your picture Ryan. It has a flatbead on it and is Bright yellow. I love it.

Yeah i do, well I did. I kind of gave up because it was costing me way to much and i wasn't doing to well when i raced also. My rig isn't that great. I need a better one if I want to get serious about it. The Flying Dutchman was the one who helped me with my rig. He won BB stock or mods like 4 years ago and is the leader of are track.

Hi newbie here from NE South Dakota. I have grown up with Ford trucks. My father bought a brand new 1966 3/4 ton in candy apple red with a 352 4-barrel four speed, he was 19 years old and I was one year old. I have a 1975 F-250 4X4 high boy and my daily driver is a completely original 1976 F-150 4X4 with its original drivetrain engine and paint. My little brother and I still drive the 73-79's to this day!

Thanks guys! Yeah the 76 I drive everyday is chrome yellow with the standard white two tone and white spoke wheels. My brothers got a black 78 F250 4x4 400-4speed that he once or twice a year truck pulls with, the truck is extremly competitive in the 6500 lb street class. He also has a 78 4X4 crew cab with a L&L conversion 460 engine in it. Then their is the 74,75 & 78 original 460 powered two wheelers stored up at the farm.
We actually had (4) total 460 70's two wheelers but one sacrificed it's engine for the rare 4X4 crew cab. Our highlight of the summer was headed west on highway 12 towards
Aberdeen with the old black 78 400 4 speed 4x4 when some guys from Minnesota tried to pass us with one of the new 300 horse F150's with the flowmaster exhuast kit a chip and about another $2,000 in wheels and tires. The old 400M may not make much power
but it's torque curve is incredible. Don't get me wrong I like the new ones too! They got a running start and pulled a fender on us early but the 78 pulled a length on them up till 110 mph when we finally lifted, then they flew by giving all smiles and two thumbs up. That's some of the fun of being on the open roads in South Dakota!
