OKAY I got to VENT...
them price gougeing sobbbbs.... oil is belwo $100 a barrel and we are paying almost 4.00 bucks .... okay I was in florida thursday gas 3.59 my sister (a floridian) told me to fill up so I did... I watched friday no regular gas the watch stations go from 3.62 to 3.99 then out the same day by the time I left sunday there was no gas in florida.... so onto mississippi ... gas was running 3.90 to 3.62 so I stop at the 3.62 a gallon fill up .... 30 miles down hwy45 4.89 .... this is just plain crazy... I understand texas got hit hard and no power to the oil rigs (another discussion theres) but why do we get screwed so much if something happens to alska pipe line up goes gas if a opec member wants a new country to buy up goes gas and if power goes out in usa up up up... I left jackson mo 3.41 a gallon now 3.99 just plain crazy.... uhhhhh okay I feel better now...

Neat website.
I put in a few different cities, and different time lines...at least the US is getting um... "price jacked" pretty uniformily...
Any measurable natural disaster (or terrorist action) provides the excuse to raise gas prices...cause they KNOW that we're gonna buy it anyway...so why shouldn't they maximize their profits?
Pretty sleazy, I'll grant you...but it's capitalism at it's finest.
EDIT: Did anyone else notice that the price of a barrel of oil has dropped nearly 33 percent over the last two months? Pump prices ARE going down, but not 33 percent...go figure.

actually i learned a thing or 2 when i worked at a gas station:
the price of the fuel is actually governed by the area in which it is being sold, ok say you have 2 gas stations within 2 miles of each other, one is 3.65 and the other is 3.99, this is legal because the other is in a different zone, population and consumption is different in that zone, hense prices will be different... and our governement is wussing out and spending our future taxes on fixing financially retarded morons mistakes....lol IDIOTOS!

ive always thought this thing with the oil prices was weird,
the US has oil rigs on land and on sea , they may say most of
our oil comes from overseas and they want them to increase production but i dont know if thats true . the government lets the
people know what they want them to know lol
also why have motor oil prices remained pretty much the same
while gas goes up and down , maybe their using this money for
something ?

also if most of the gas comes from overseas why did the hurricane
in texas effect gas prices so much ? a few years ago gas was like
1.30-1.50 , then they said one of the 2 major oil lines had a problem
and they could only use one , when they fixed it gas prices were still about the same and they never said anything about it
