I managed to get the trans I had converted from a 4x4 to a car tail shaft and the engine trans dropped into the galaxie today. Still hoping to have it running by the last race up at Newton on Oct 19th
We bought a 1066 on a farm sale that was supposed to have a good TA. Went to load it and it didn't work so that is at the repair shop. We are preparing the site for our new farm shop. Supposed to start building in Oct. Waiting for a specialty rotor for the combine so I can get the green bean straw through better this fall. Plus whatever else comes up.

If it has wheels and an engine, you have my attention.
Spent the day in Ames at ISU... Didn't think to say anything prior to those who are in classes out there that may have been at the job fair today. Talked extensively with one of the Kinze reps, as well as one of the Terex reps... as well as a few others.

Besides work, I'm a single parent during the week now, since my wife flys out of state every week. I'm putting 6 windows in the house right now. Got my 63 F100 running right (don't ask!) and have been welding up a new tailgate for it. I also got another bed to rework for it. Camping out on the Wapsi when we can get a free weekend. And I bought a barn find 1948 Olds 78 Dynamic that I've been gutting the interior out of to prepare it for storage. And I've been wasting too much time posting in the FTE Club Forum.

Ohhh... Sounds like it's going to be a runner. Buckingham... We have a couple fields in your area.. well over by Reinbeck/Hudson area. How's the beans looking up that way?
Spent my summer/fall with a blown out knee *sigh*...Had an unexpected get-off on a buddy's motorcross bike...After surgery & PT, I've had to work quite a bit to make up for lost wages, bills, etc...Fortunately, I'm now back on top of things, retired the Bronco, purchased a "new to me" F-150, came out of the whole ordeal learning a valuable lesson: Stick to riding street bikes, lol...
Ouch and ouch... good to hear from you. My wife blew out her knee back in high school on a hurdle... she could relate a bit.
