guys, the tailgate hinges on the 70's trucks were not painted. but after several years they get some rust on them. I have sandblasted mine to clean them up but now am wondering how to keep them rust free forever without using paint and primers - i want them to look like OEM. I've thought about a clear finish but it's too shiny and my other thought was just spray them in wd40 and hope they stay rust free. Any thoughts or other suggestions? Thanks
