Croaked Out

I'm pretty new to this side of FTE(I usually float around in the 7.3L forums), but I do have a 2004 F150. Yesterday I walked out of work got in the truck cranked it up, put it in reverse, and it would not budge. Seems as if the rear end is seized up. I had it towed to the stealership and the tow truck guy had to drag it up onto the roll back because the rear tires would not even roll. The truck only has 46000 miles on it because I drive my 250 all the time. Has anyone ever had this happen?

wierd...may be your e-brakes though

the 04/05's had alot of issues with the e-brakes catching/dragging. so if it was raining, and the truck was sitting for a little bit...they very well could have siezed to the brake drum via corrosion.

should have taken a hammer to the brakes before you had it towed...keep us updated

There was not a single leak under the truck when I got to it after work. Guy at the stealership told me yesterday that it probably is the rear end. I will see how it goes. They did say that they are going to give me a good will warranty and I may not have to pay anything.

excellent...I don't see it being the pumpkin itself though. I'd almost bet on it being the brakes...maybe a axle seal
