20k?

I have a 20k in right night joe's way. I have a 14.7 to. I love the 20k because of fuel mileage. But what is your input for egt's? I have 6637 intake stacks and soon to be down pipe. Can I continue to run the 20k just driving around and be safe? If I tow I either do the 14.7 or stock. Any opinions will be helpful. Thanks In advance

How did it affect your mileage, better or worse and any before and after numbers?

Ya, i havent had mine in long enough to tell you about fuel mileage, but i can tell you that with a 6637, 15.6K and otherwise stock truck, i can hit 1300 EGT's. with stacks, you probably wont have any problems, but i would go back to no resistance if towing...

To me it would seem like mileage would go down if you are pumping more fuel into it and getting more black smoke. What temp is considered to be to hot?

1200 is when you should let off. And when the injecors arent running at or close to operating psi then you get worse mileage I can do a 2 hour drive strait through tothe beach on a quartr tank on the front one when befor it would almost take half. I dont throw much smoke unless I really get into it. And I do go to stock when towing. want o get numbers but right now my dad is gettn ready to go in fo surgery and my grandma is diein. Been doin alot of runnin betwen the two and wanted to make sure the truck would be ok. Right now the baby is on hold for projects. Family before truck I always say. Sorry bout the ong post just wanted to adress everything. Thanks guys

ya, higher pressure with the same fuel and you get better atomization which in theory gives better mileage.
I'm sure that the 20-22 psi freeway onramps where i'm puffin coal at every shift arent helping mileage, but i will say i can accelerate faster @ 600*F EGT's than before at 600.

normal driving i would see no issues, i wouldnt tow or run her too hard for long times without gauges. every truck responds a little different
