Best tuner/DPF delete kit?

Hello,

My extended warranty is about to run out and I was wondering what the best tuner/DPF delete kit is out there today? I'm also going to remove the EGR coolers.

Lots of online dealers but I just found a local diesel shop, good for your local economy and was even $25 cheaper than most online sites. Mini maxx installed last night, no dpf delete yet, that's this weekend, already noticed a big power difference. It's intoxicating!

Tuners are a must if doing the delete, truck won't run without one.

There's a product called DPF-R that ONLY eliminates the regeneration process and allows you to remove the DPF.

I will be removing the EGR's for reliability because there have been cases where the coolers start leaking and pushing coolant into the motor. The coolers are nothing but heat exchangers and over time will break down.

Get a tuner. Even if you just want to remove the DPF only its nice to watch your temps for towing or just general driving around. I like to know that the EGT's are below 350 before I shut off my truck and most tuners have this as a selectable item. the DPF-r I dont think does anything more than trick your computer.

Its a good setup. I have everything there except your intake and it works well. I bought the downpipe too but havent put it on yet. Just havent had the time. The delete is simple. the tuner is simple too.

i've got the mini maxx i picked up off craigslist for $400. works great. i've also go the diamond eye cat/dpf delete kit sitting in my garage that I'm waiting to install. i'm gonna keep the stock air intake system for now and see if i pop any filter minder messages. I think it should be OK as my goal is not to get more HP out of the truck, but to improve fuel mileage, so I'd be driving around at no power/mild most of the time

I forgot to mention that I had to get a new exhaust clamp when I did my delete. The kit did not come with one or it was lost in transit. Make sure you have one prior to taking your dpf/cat off as a new one was needed on the cat end since it is welded to the pipe.
