timing proplems

1977 F-150 460cid C6 4x4
My question, I rebuilt the motor, put on direct drive timing and an MSD probillet dist. I have it timed at 10 degrees BTC intial timing and 25 degrees centrifigul advance at 3000 RPMs. When I initially did the timing it ideled at 800 RPMs. Drove fine on the test drive but on the way back it dropped to 400 RPMs at idel and eventually died. when I start it I have to feed it fuel or it will bog down and die. my intial timing has not change and my timing marks are zeroed out and match up.
