I like it, and the way he has it set up for the most part.

With the original rad, would it be good enough to keep the engine cool? How many core rad would that be?

Sad to say and as nice as a 272/312 sounds a mild 302 would blow the doors off of it with alot less weight in the engine compartment........Eric figures that for just over $2,000 he can have an honest 400 hp+/302.
A 390 might be a bit of a different story though.

390 would be waaay different, but then again up goes the weight!

Also with the 302, as much as I like em, ya gotta watch the blocks once ya get over 400 horse.

Then again 400 horse is plenty

From what I`ve heard and read the stock 302 block is good for more than 400hp ( careful on the rpm though) but I doubt I`ll ever have to worry about that.

I do believe they are supposed to be good for near 500 then a guy has to watch for cracking. Still over 400 is just about there.

Thats one thing ive always loved about the 302, is the revving of them.

Reving a 302 is about the only way to get higher hp out of them. When you`re fairly small you really got to move!

347 stroker kit makes a very sweet small block Ford with lots of HP and more torque than a 302 could hope for.
Top it off with aluminum heads and a roller cam.....
