I recently read a review of a canvas canopy that I thought would work good on my off-road rig. It was either in Petersons or FourWheeler. 'Course, now that I'm looking for it I can't find it. Anybody remember the article or can direct me to a good source for a canvas canopy?

Check Four Wheel Parts Wholesalers (sometimes called Four Wheel Parts/Performance Centers)... They have shops all over. I've seen the canvas top you're talking about at the Redondo Beach, Calif store. It's very cool and seems to be very well built. They advertise frequently in off road magazines and do have a web site.
I love those canvas tops. I am thinking about making a military-style one for my truck, all the way to the front of the cab, with the arched roof, and roll-down sides.
