Great News!!

I just bought myself an 03 F350!!! I got it on Ebay out of Phoenix and should get it in a week and a half.

So of course the first question I'm gonna ask is .... What are the best mods?

I'm shooting for the best mileage for starters and just plain and simple upgrades in the air intake and exhaust.

So what do you recommend?

Most start with an intake, chip, exhaust, and gauges.

Intake and exhaust to help it breath better (probably won't see much for mileage gains, but they are supporting mods for more power). Just stay away from the K&N's, we've seen too many problems with those, particularly with the drop in filters that fit the stock airbox.

Gauges you'll want, especially if you get a chip. EGT, Trans, and Boost are the 3 common ones.

As for the chip, most common suggestion you'll get here is DP-Tuner. Second most commonly recommended is Tony Wildman. Edge, Superchips, etc work ok, but they aren't the best out there for our trucks.

I would and have done the mods in this order. I am working toward #6 now!

1) Napa 6637 air filter
2) 4 or 5 in exhaust
4) TruCool Tranny cooler (especially if hauling)
5) Gauges
6) John Woods or BTS Valve body
7) and FINALLY a DP tuner

Then there is always the free/cheep ones too!

Thats a great deal on a truck with a mild lift on it and decent miles. Your already ahead of the game in my book with the floor shifter for the transfer case. Be ready to dump an additonal 2-3K into the truck with some mods .

That's a good price on a nice looking truck. Congratulations!!!I couldn't agree more about the floor shifter. No ESOF means no vacuum leak issues. I was very happy to find mine set up that way too.

Nice looking ride. Nothing more to add that hasn't been said before.

Stick around, we'll spend your money.
