I have one, and I love it, I keep it in my car most of the time, but occasionally use it in the truck for long trips.

Buy it. I have had for quite awhile. I love it. It moves between cars depending on what I'm doing.

I looked at the scan gauge, but decided to purchase the MSD Dashawk because it is user upgradeable. The Scangauage must be sent back to the manufactuer for an update.

Does your Dashhawk have Transimission temps and slip features? How do they compare for features...the Scangauge and the Dashhawk?

Thanks for the info and updates,

I'm going to retract my recommendation for the Dashhawk, because I just checked the dashhawk support fourm and the key programmer has been reassigned. This product may very well be EOL (End of Life) with no future releases.

I am able to see and log transmission temps. Not certain about slip parameters, although I know there's a transmission trubine speed or something like that.
I've set up gauges (displays) for tranny temp, cylinder head temp, engine temp, fuel flow, fuel level, engine load, intake temp, MPG (may not be 100% accurate, but can be tweaked), O2 sensor voltage, O2 sensor temps, throttle position.

There's bunches of additional paramters that could be displayed, but aren't much use to me.

Now that is funny! But just tell your wife it will help you SAVE money...by being in touch with your trucks vitals. You will save gas and help SAVE costly repairs in the Future! I love how the SAVE word means so much to them. If she is a shopper she will understand......
