Seems like there isnt enough room between the front and middle seats.

They slide forward but only for ease of entry into the third row. Otherwise they are fixed.

You could probably move them back but it would require some welding/drilling and you wouldn't be able to recline them (as far) as they would hit the trim panels in the rear.

I always felt the same way - I guess they did that to allow more room for access to the 3rd row of seats.

Only because I looked at moving both 2nd and 3rd row seats back about 6 inches when I gutted my truck to sound-proof it. It's doable but not by me!

Just how long *are* your legs???

There is more rear legroom than virtually anything short of a limo.

You can make a set of relocation brackets that will bolt on. Basically, they would be a flat piece of metal with a hole on one end and a stud welded to the other.

You would use the OEM bolts to hold the brackets down, then the seats would set on the studs and you would use nuts to hold them down. I made a set for my Mustang years ago to move the seat back so I could actually fit in the car

Now the legal disclaimer: I do not recommend modifying any safety components as it can lead to serious injury or death if not made properly. The above statement is simply summary of my personal experience, not advice or reccomendations....

Im only 6' 1" but i dont have any intentions of ever sitting in the back seat.I had a Windstar and i could put the seat the whole way back without hitting the car seat behind me.With the Ex i cant put the seat back as far as i want.No big deal, its my wifes anyway.I mostly drive my truck.
