Thinking the Government stimulus plan is working is like thinking that taking water form the deep end of a pool and dumping it in the shallow end will raise the water level of the pool.

The bypass shocks are 3.0 bodies - to replace a set of the 2.5" bodies I had lying around. Though looking last night made me think of putting the 2.5" body 2 tube bypass Kings on the front of the crew instead of the 2.5" body SAW's I have. Either way - 1 set will go up for sale.

King coil overs are to replace the Fox ones I had. I still have a LOT of shocks - but oyu can never have too many - right???

I'm really tempted to take the shocks down and lay them al out and take a pic, but these big ones are HEAVY and I'm too lazy. Unless you wanna come over and help - haha.

Tires are spares for the supercab - they go with the ones I had been collecting for the ranger. They were $50 for the pair and I couldn't pass that up - especially because the 35x12.50's are getting hard to find in a 15" rim with these race tires.

Seats were for the back of the crew (hoping to run 4 buckets like that in it - I already have 2 new ones) - but in getting them home I found one is dark blue that was dyed black, so they may be thrown into a trade I'm working with a buddy for some parts for the supercab.

I was just confused by the way you worded it. The "not saying anything against your welding..." part threw me a bit. No big deal.

no power in the race truck - just the crew.

Sure there is enough room in your truck - you just did not try hard enough - haha.

I will either do 2 seats like the ones in my pic or a mini bench in the rear. If I can pull it off in a supercab you can do it in your crew.

Also - side note. Call me tonight if you have time. Got some info for the front susp. for your truck...

slip up on my part. Seats were for the back of the new truck.

Crew is getting the seats out of an '04 crew - the tan cloth ones. Power in the front, solid bench in the rear.

cool truck. I'm not a huge fan of the stepsides, but they do have some old school character! That one looks like a basic, yet fun truck. The supercab will start like like that and end up getting some good stuff thrown at it over time...

speaking of welding - my experience with welding last night further confirmed the plan for the roll cage on the supercab. I will definitely NOT be welding directly to the frame, but rather making plates that bolt to the frame and welding to that.

I didn't get much done one the crew last night seeing as I was degreasing some hot rod parts while it was still light out and then re-wiring my mill so it will run when a potential buyer comes this week.

When I did get to the truck I worked on that boxing plate for the frame area at the steering box. I got it fitted and partially welded. I had one heck of a time welding again though. Even though I tried my best to clean the frame there still seemed to be some nastyness on (and probably IN) it. The arc kept hot spotting and burning super bright to where it was blinding my through my #12 mask! Freakin crap in the metal!!!! Not only did it make my eyes hurt like a mother it made me weld like crap. What fun...

It's amazing how nice the welds look where the metal is good, compared to how crappy the get when I hit whatever it is that the welder doesn't like... Check the vertical weld at the front of the plate vs. the horizontal one below it, or the one around the arc above it = damn...

Anyways - here's some pics. More will be done tonight.
