i hear a light knocking noise from my 239 flat head,noise seems to be towards the front of the engine,has good oil pressure.the noise goes awawy when the rpms are brought up a bit i removed one plug wire at a ime to try and pin point noise,but the knock didnt seem to change-i am stumped -i suspected a wrist pin maybe??? any suggestions?
i pulled the oil pan down last night to start checking the rod bearings checked #1 and #5 sor far -both look good,will check the rest tonight,how can i tell if i have a bad wrist pin bushing with out taking the pistons out??
well leonhau i wish the search engine on here would find it for me !! i have ? had a knock that i think i have diagnosed and am getting ready to cure , but as a first time flatty owner im always ready to learn ANYTHING !!!!!! i can from anyone and everything .
