I see in your sig that you have a 5th wheel. Do you do alot of camping?

 

We try. My family really enjoys it. I only bought the truck in April and purchased the 5th wheel in May. Good deals on rvs these days...

 

Ya I know. We had a 87 Travel Mate 24 1/2'. We saw one advertised in the spring at a dealer down at the coast. I is a 98 Thor Tahoe which was a consignment they had from someone that bought a small motor home. We thought what the heck it wont hurt to go and take a little looky. The model is a 26RKSS. So we are thinking it is 26' rear kitchen with a super slide, which is about the length we wanted. The sales guy says it's a consignment so don't be afraid to low ball the guy cause it is almost time for him to come and get it.(he said they only keep them on the lot for 3 months)

Well to make a long story short I went as low as the salesman would let me. We picked it up for $8500.00. Funny thing is the model number has nothing to do with the length. When we got home I put the bumper into the fence. (no damage) This made me think there was no way it was only 1 1/2' longer than what we had. I went to the Thor website and it turns out the thing is 30'.

I ended up having to buy another truck cause the little 5.4 was working a little too hard at times for my liking. A strong engine just not enough hp/torque.

We paid $2900 for our 5th wheel. Can't beat that with a stick...
