Sand Drags on the 20th

we are going to try a new twist on some sand drags. according to the web site, Jonesville LA is having a race on the 20th of SEPT!

well cost wise it's kinda a kicker to run the mud drag truck, between the high oct fuel, entrance fee's, and wear and tear..........it can hit the pocket book pretty hard...........SO

we're racing the ATV's this go round. i have mine lifted, big mud tires, loud pipe, jetted and snorkeled........now i'm goin just the oppisite, i'm gonna ratchet strap it lower, take the big mud tires off and throw some stockers back on to do some bracket racing, maybe a couple heads up runs if it's quick enough.

Just thought i'd let every one know, and maybe a few of ya might bring your trucks, or wheelers. not reallt a place for a get to gether, but it's a pretty good track (i think)!

Jason,

What is the web address?

I have heard that Jonesville is being added to the mud track circuit next year. Don't know if it's the same place. We have ours ready for the race at Minden on Sept. 28. We might pull to Jonesville just to try it out. I should be a good weather weekend.

well turns out they aren't doing the ATV drags.........o well. i would bring my drag truck, but all the costs add up to quick on that thing, lol! between the towing fuel, fuel for the drag truck, maintenance on the drag truck, exceeds the cost of running the atv down the track a couple times BY FAR, lol!

me and a friend are debating on entering the atv bog, but not decided yet.

I wish that I was going to be home. Jonesville used to be my old stomping grounds. Not much there anymore. The construction in town has the road in town pretty jacked up.

We're going down to try it out. One of our sponsors is Jim Bowies Relay Station, which is a restaurant at Enterprise, somewhat on the way to Jonesville. This is where the ferry crosses the Ouachita river. The boys are taking the truck there Friday night and parking it in front of the restaurant for advertisement. I will meet them at the track Saturday.

Look forward to seeing you down there Jason.

We'll be the blue F-250 with "Hook Em' Up" on the side!

I have a lot of family that live in Enterprise. My cousin's house is about a mile from Jim Bowies.

Man I wish that I was going to be home.

Just a quick update about the dirt drags Saturday. We finally were able to "Hook em up"!!
We ran in the stock ET class with about 25 trucks. Our best time was 5.97 for 300 feet. Ended up 9th overall. Truck ran great with absolutely no problems. We were the only full blown mud truck at the site, in a class that has a 14" vacuum rule, and we have to pull 19" for AMRA.

We were happy with our times, now it is on to Minden for the mud races Sunday Sept. 28.

good to hear man, we didn't make it this go round...........to many things getting bunched up to do at once, lol!

last time i ran the 5.75 and 5.50 break out classes. but i see where they didn't have the atv drags, and i still have some tinkering to do on my mud drag truck before i'm ready for a race again!

glad it worked out for ya man! maybe one day we'll get to meet up at a track!!
