No offence, but I've personally NEVER seen a 4.2 Audi get anywhere near that mileage. Even a 3.2 getting that mileage is rare.
Thats hand calculated over my last 4 tanks of gas. But when I went to the stock wheels again it changed quite a bit. I do mostly free way driving, and since becoming a father have softened up quite a bit on the speed.

It would be fair to note that my car is usually running not so stock. And I drive like a nanny.

there is no way this truck will even sniff 30 mpg! its way to heavy ! if it gets 20 and i mean gets a real world 20 not sticker 20 on the hiway i would be impressed! like stated above it will be a 6k option and should have been here 15 yrs ago. they should just stop making mass number of trucks, if you want one order it with leather seats and rubber floor if thats what i want....its been time for ford to concentrate on small/smaller cars and mpg, but they are so F ing stoopid sometimes like right now

A diesel F-150 could easily pull 20mpg, 22+ possible. But 30? No.

I've gotten the truck in my sig to do 20hwy. The diesel should be able to do much better. Even the new 390HP Hemi is rated at 20.

390 Hemi is rated at 19, and most testing reports 17-19.

Depending on how it's equiped, up to 20 hwy per EPA.

But we're splitting hairs here. If the F150 diesel doesn't get much better than 20MPG hwy, then just forget about it. It needs to get 25MPG hwy.

Yeah, 20 mpg is pretty much a given.

Even the heavy diesels would get 20 mpg in 2wd trim. Except for the 6.4 psd, which is the diesel hog as of right now.

Also, let's not forget that the current EPA system tends to UNDER-RATE diesel mpg. Just look at what VW TDi owners are reporting versus EPA. It's been reported that EPA under-rates real world mpg by as much as 20%.

Actually if you compare most cars to their EPA ratings you'll find they steeply undervalue everything thats not a hybrid.

Yeah, guess they over-corrected when they went to the new system.
