wire colors!!! (erf)

Okay, So does anyone know the stereo color code?
I have no lables on my old stereo connector for the speakers, and i'm trying to rig up this amp box that i used to have in my PC. (yes, i had a stereo amplifier inside my computer) in the truck to supply the power, and i'll just spin the tunes off one of my many laptops.

I have purple, grey, green and white.
Does the line indicate ground or power?

For speakers here is the run down
Right rear- brn/pnk(-), pnk/lt blu (+)
RF- Dk Grn/ORG (-), wht/lt grn (+)
LR- Tan/yel (-), PNK/LT GRN (+)
LF- LT BLU/WHT (-), ORG/LT GRN (+)

check crutchfield for aftermarket radio. I know its pretty universal for speaker wires but I don't know it off hand.

I would do acc. you dont want the amp on all the time. Couldt over heat, maybe fire pending on its placement. Oh could run your battiers down too.

Is this in the F150????I would run it strait to the batts and make sure there is some bare wire throughout......that way when she torches to the ground you will have no excuses why you have not bought a PSD yet!!

(hope everyone takes that as a joke)

Well, the acc circuit wasn't fused on the line, so i hooked it to the power all the time, seeing as it had an off on button.

Didn't know the amp was a pass though while off, but i shoulda thought of that.

Anyways. I spent all that time soldiering it together and setting and taping it up to find out the amp will no longer power, just pass though.
Pissed me off. =(
I'm really wanting some tunes in my truck, and its a bummer that it doesn't amplify anymore. Oh well, its like 15 years old. hahaha.
old 40 watt audiovox.
I had it in my computer for about 6 months (yes inside)
it was pretty sweet. Had RCA jacks in the back and all sorts of neat stuff.
Didn't have a camera then, so no pictures. I have a video of it someplace.

So, sorry guys. Mod was scraped.

Do you still want pictures?
