Manual locking hubs problem

Okay where to start. I ended up breaking a lug stud of so I need to get the rotor off. Problem is I can't get to the nut(s) that hold the rotor on the axle. I pull the 6 allen head screws out off the cap but the silver part will not come off. What gives.
TIA
Nolan

the silver part? the aluminum hub body i suspect, its held in with a snap ring. you need snap ring pliers to get the hub out. or picks and small screwdrivers and patience. there a couple of snap rings in there. one big one holds the aluminum body on the very outside if i remember right. and one small one on the splined axle shaft.

you got the snap ring locations right, but i think he means that the chromeish, silver cap that is held down by the allen head screws won't come off. If i'm correct, well keep trying i suppose a dent or kink could have jammed it in place, inspect it closely for damage. Try prying it off with a small screw driver, but take care not to damage it. If i'm wrong, and you are talking about the hub body, go with what 7.3 stated. and after you get the hub body out, you'll need a specail locking nut too, like a giant socket with 4 tips @90* separation.
