Ok, I've got nothing against silver lake, but I wanna go somewhere diffirent. And with gas being what it is, going down south and out west are out of the question.
Has anyone ever been to mounds ORV park by flint?
is it ok?
I guess there is some other place north of detroit calles ostc. has anyone been there or know where it is?
I need to know what to expect, or if it is just like every other park, in that it is mostly for quads and dirt bikes.
Any other places within 300 miles?
thanks
Chris

If you want to mud bog, you better bring one hell of a truck, otherwise you'll just burry yourself every time.
The trail driving is okay. But it gets old pretty quick.
There is a sand area where the 4 and 2 wheeled flee's play.
I rode around in my buddies truck, I'm not going to take a stick shift out there, to much water. Clutch gets wet and it wont work.
You don't have to go to the silver lake meet.
but just remember, there are others of us who have to drive far away as well.
I think we are going to do frankenmuth this winter for ice fest.
It's the best I can think of. Just have to find a neat place in the bavarian in parking lot and just line em up.

I'll ride with ya in the 4runner if you wanna check it out Ron.
only 15 mins for me to get there.
I'd take my truck, but that open rear end will leave me stranded most likely. and my frong u-joints are not doing so good.

Hello, I have a cabin in the Saint Helen area. There are trails everywhere for Trucks, Jeeps, ATV and Motorcycle. Just take I-75 North to exit 222. It is mainly sand but there are some good mud holes to. Take care, Bruce........
I'm going to silver lake this weekend. ANyone care to tag along? I wanted to go to Ogemaw, but I think I need bigger tires than 31" that I am running right now. The you tube videos tell some grisly tales.
I'll be there saturday I guess.
When is the silver lake meet anyway, and are there any other events comming up?
Thanks
Chris

I don't have anything planned really.
Lot's of idea's. But most of the members are really busy with work, and low on pocketbook.
I try to hang out with members if I am going to their area though.
