what year did fuel injection start for 2.9 rangers

I'm looking at rangers for sale and would like to know what year fuel injection started for the 2.9 V-6, Thanks

mrshorty is starting off with a positive reputation.
The 2.9 V6 was always fuel injected. The 2.9 was introduced in 1986. Prior to that, they used the 2.8.
