Volant or S & B CAI 06 F150 5.4
Been doing a little research and I kind of like the Volant and the S & B cold air intake systems. I am familiar with K & N since I have the FIPK in my 90 F150 4.9 for 8 years now and no complaints with K & N, but I kind of like the sealed cold air box that the Volant and the S & B provide.
My goal here is to improve MPG since it has plenty of power in its stock form. I also understand that the stock air filtration system does a pretty good job as is, so I am wondering if a CAI upgrade buys me much. Any suggestions recommendations would be appreciated.

ive heard CAIs dont get you much. But you might want to look at the snorkel going into the fender well, its only 2". I replaced mine with a 3" pvc tube and got a much better response. All you got to do is remove the snorkel and cut a 4.5" length of pvc to replace that section. Tie them together with a 3" x 3" rubber gormet from the hardware store. Total cost is $6.00

We are a new dealer of S&B Filters. After installing 3 different brands of intakes on our F150 5.4L for fit and function, the S&B came out in the top of its class in our book. Its a top quality pc for these F150's and thats why we decided to be a dealer of this product. Now we have quality matched system (5.4L F150's) with our tuned X3 and S&B intake and its economically priced for our customers.
For the V10's we are still evaluating on what we feel is a top quality intake.
