When dealing with a modern fuel injected engine, the first thing you need to do is have the codes read, that eliminates guessing. Your truck would be OBD-II so it requires the appropriate code scanner. Many auto
parts stores such as Autozone will scan your truck for free in the hopes that you'll buy needed
parts from them.
If you indeed have an o2 sensor problem, that will show up in the codes. It's possible that you do have a plugged cat from the symptoms you describe, but I don't believe that cat problems will always show up in the codes, only other problems that may be caused by a plugged cat. Get the codes checked, and we can go from there...
