Clutch switch - '97 F350

Hi everyone, I have a 1997 F350, 7.3L. Have had problems recently trying to push my clutch thu the firewall to get the darned thing started. I Cheched out the pins, bushings etc and everything looks ok. Soooo... I am thinking it is the switch. Question, how can I bypass the switch? As an old 18 wheel driver, I have never started a diesel without the clutch disengaged, and not likely to start now. Hence the legitimacy of my question. LOL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
