Well you are going to want to remove the coolant overflow tank and windshield washer fluid tank. Disconnect the battery. Then remove the fan belt. Next remove the alternator and support bracket to the intake plenum. After that I think you will want to remove the power steering bracket but my car is a 94 sable but I would imagine that they are pretty similar. Then You might have to remove a couple of brackets and that is about all. You should be able to reach the pump.
Oh ya just an FYI, I checked my mileage today when I filled up and I was getting 24 Mpg's with about half of city and highway driving. This is with 173,000 miles.

Thank's for the info John, was wondering about the power steering pump, the two bolt's that are behind the pelley on it, it llok's as though you have to remove the pulley to get to them, is this the case ? Because I don't have the room in there to get the pulley off. This thing has been a nightmare it all began because the idler pulley locked up on me, and when that happened somehow it broke the pulley on the waterpump, the pump is still good but it has 120,000 miles on it so i figure best to go ahead an replace it while i am in there ( that is if i can ) luckily i have a third vehicle to get around in in the meantime. what about the timing belt, do you know how many miles that they are good for ? As far as my mpg's I am getting about the same, last time i checked I was getting 25 in mine, Oh and by the way it is a GL wagon. Thank's for your time.
