Stickerless de-badged waxed truck???

Is there any body else out there like me who hates all the factory badges and 4x4 emblems all over an otherwise clean looking truck? I have taken off the 4x4 stickers on beds before, as well as the emblems with a little help from the heat gun, But never on black paint. So far everything Ive done including waxing, seems to be a nightmare with this God forsaken color. Any tricks for taken stickers off as well as special waxes to use so I dont get the white haze swirls in the sun light? Any info would be much appreciated.

No I have not. What is it and could I get one from a body shop supply.
I know what you mean about "truck pride". I just like everything clean, dark and simple.

Would a heat gun remove the stupid dealer decals they often put on the vehicles they sell?

I also had the same - black truck and no love of decals

Hair dryer, start at edge, pull and remove. Any remaining adhesive can be removed with a polish or wax containing a paint cleaner

I removed the FX4 (both sides) and the dealer logo

Yes, and the stripe off wheel does the trick. The decals are off the P/U box and not a hint of a swirl mark.

/size

I'm sure there are better products out there, but I've had good results with liquid Nu-Finish. I prepped it first with a clay bar cleaning. I've gotten quite a few compliments on it (when it's clean). I've been told that applying and buffing with back and forth wiping motion in line with the long side of a panel instead of a circular motion prevents the swirl marks. That's what I do and it seems to work.
