1950 M47 Mercury

Ok HAVI and the others.....
Now I have some pics
MERCURYMAN - FINLAND

.....after that "projects"
and scroll until you find this PickUp

We must open the engine and bore it 0,30 oversize.
Buy new pistons and etc....new carburator and etc...
The engine is NOT bad but I like to do it well. The chassis
have a new paint but there is a lot work still.
Transmission is very GOOD it needs only service.
So we will see....

i see some toys that would look good in my yard, especially that s-55 !!! truck looks good, nice project. nice collection!! pete

Nice project alright. Truck looks complete, are you planning on restoring or rodding?


(Now I'm gonna have to look for an M74 car !)

I just came back from garage and I have bad news.
The block of that engine is split.

...I´m going to restoring this car.
Just like it was.......

I´m going to take few beer

If the split is no too bad it can be welded or metal stitched.

It is between cylinder and valve... almost two inches.

Anyway I have one engine from 1949. I think to use that.
