I've got a Lund on mine. Easy install -- uses factory holes in the hood (no drilling necessary). I've never been crazy about the looks of these things, but this actually looks pretty sharp. I dont have a pic, but here's one that looks similar...

Is that the low profile version?

Here's an acutal pic of the Lund installed on my '07 Expy EL...

You just about have to do a double-take to even notice the thing (which is why I like it!).

unfortunatly, I haven't found a defelcter that would look good on a white or off white vehicle. I've used the "green" color on my white work trucks but I think it's another thing to put one on my new expedition!

I would do with out one but the other day I had a rock from a big rig thrown at me and it hit the very edge of the hood by the grill just about center and made a HUGE dent.....since the hood is made of aluminum....now I want to cover it up. On my 02 (which was white also...I had one but it looked pretty good with the roundy look that it had.

Anyhow I appreciate all the pics...I think I am going to pick up a Ventshade Bugflector II in smoked for my wifes ride.

Thanks again,

B

I had not given any thought to a deflector in "smoke". A low profile might be "OK"

I do appreciate your answer(s). One more question if I may, what's an "elder user"?

I put a smoked Bugflector II on mine last month, rediculously easy to install and looks pretty good. It stands up a bit more than the low profile ones but I don't find it to be obtrusive. Sorry, no pics.

Have you thought about a clear one, and then having it painted to match your vehicle? I've seen people do it wind deflectors al the time. Buddy of mine did it with his chevy. Looks pretty good and you don't really notice it. Paint the back side of it, that way rocks and such won't chip it.

Aw shucks, I was some what worried, though feeling good at being called a "new" guy. I'm only 65 pushing hard at 66. I am actually not that new to the forum, I had signed on to it many years ago, under the moniker, "LouJacobs", when I was driving sweet '01 SCrew, Lariat, that I just sold.
