just put a brush guard on the front, then you dont have to worry about anything. The Bar on mine covers the whole front of the hood.

I had 3M Paint Protection Film put on the entire front end of my 2007 Expy EB, excluding the chrome look grille. It definitely costs a bit more than a deflector. But if you want full bra-like protection that is virtually invisible you can't beat this product. Just do a search on it and you'll find lots of info and hopefully if you're interested, a local installer too. I would take pictures but it's clear and I don't think you would be able to see it. I also had it on my 1997 Explorer. I will put it on all my new vehicles, it's that good. I did not put it on my 2001 Maxima and really wish I had since the front is now completely trashed.

I looked at the 3m film the other day....I ended up going with the XPEL film for my fog lights and a AVS bugflector II. I need to see if there is a place local that can do the invisable bra for my SUV....I am not wanting to do that on my own...I would like that to be done by a pro.
