Ive seen several bigger boats(yachts,to be exact!) that used that same system with 4 large 6Volt batteries,and recently i was at a home that was "off the grid" and had a generator,solar panels,and a wind generator,and it also utilized 4 6Volt batteries for storage..... Apparently it is considered one of the best options.
