Question glow plugs

i have a 86 f-250 with a 6.9 and i was wondering what the glowplug look like in that motor. because the plugs that are in here are not spade conector they have a round contector on there are they the right ones for my truck

if they are hooked up??? some one probably converted your truck over to the later style.
if they are the beru's u are good to go...
u can check to see if they work. by pulling them out and doing a 12 volt 10 second heat test

My '86 has the round "bullet" style glow plugs too. The style must have changed sometime that year as the Ford dealer gave me the right plugs and Autozone got me the spade style.
You can check the plugs in the motor or out of it with an OHM meter.
You can also CAREFULLY check them on a battery by grounding the body and puttig power to the connector area. They will get HOT so watch out.

The 83 thru 86 should have ZD 1A glow plugs with spade connectors.
The 87 thru 94 should have ZD 9 glow plugs with bullet connectors.
