Tranny Cooler quick parts question

Hi folks, I am installing an additional tranny cooler (B&M racing version with 1/2 NPT threads). I am going to run it in series with the stock unit

1). What size hose fitting do I need, they look like 3/8 but I am not sure.

2). On the stock cooler, which line is the return line, the top or bottom one?

3). If I need to extend the line, is there a special grade of hose that I need to use?

thank you for your help!

The hose is 5/16 and it would be better to remove OEM cooler instead of running them in series. With both in the line you may end up with to much restriction. It's been a long time since I ve seen a stock cooler so I dont remember which is the return but I do know that the return goes to the rear of the trans. There are special ATF hoses that are designed to handle both the pressure and heat of the fluid.
