Front wheel bearings

Do they both usually go bad at once or is it like the GM ones that when you turn left or right the side that is going bad hums?

I figure if one is going, the other is probably on it's last legs too. I did ask them to check them out to be sure that's what it was even though I was 99% sure. They replaced both fronts.

Did this correct your problem? OR is the "roar" noise still present? Checking to see if maybe your 4x4 was trying to engage like many people were/are having happen.

Fordsinair, Woodsatyr's truck is a 4x2 not 4x4. Dan.

Sorry, late in replying...
Right, my truck is a 4x2. But yes, it did fix it. It was definitely the wheel bearings.
