runs rough then dies???
Ok here it goes. I fueled up from a different station because it was .40 cents cheaper than my regular station. Everything ran fine and then it ran rough and died. It died a few more times. I let it rest about 1/2 hr and then it ran fine. I switched to the rear tank and when it got to 1/4 tank same thing happened. It ran rough (acted like it was missing) and died. I made it almost home anrd it died and won't restart. I switched back to the front tank and got it fired back up and into the driveway. I drained the fuel filter bowl and fired it back up. Ran fine then.
Could that fuel from the other station have water in it or something? I have never had this problem before. I am thinking that it was the fuel from the other station.
I am going to fuel up from my regular station tomorrow and treat both tanks with seafoam.
Any other thoughts? The water in fuel light didn't come on.

Does it only happen on the rear tank?? My truck when it gets a little under 1/4 tank in the rear, it will start to die. I read somewhere that there is a valve or something on the sending unit that is suposed to open when its cold to let the thicker fuel through. I read that it can get stuck open and suck air when the fuel gets that low. Also it could be your tanks selctor unit. Someone will chime in that can help out more.
