90' F150 Electrical Short Mystery

What else can short the system out that's not on a fused circuit? Something is draining the battery when the truck not in use.
-tested every fuses for short (no results...)
-Starter brushes replaced
-Fully charged and tested battery
-new altenator
-new selinoid
-good battery connections

Whatever the short is caused low charge levels on the battery causing it to freeze twice. We've taken the battery back twice had it thawd and charged and tested.
We need to find the problem.

Thanks in Advance.

Denis, I had a similar problem with my daughter's Mustang. Turned out to be the passenger side courtesy light above sun visor. It was staying on all the time and running batt down overnight. It was a pain to find. Also check underhood light, and glovebox light. Hope this helps. Don

Get an amp meter that can handle a few amps, and hook it up between the battery and the positive battery cable. If you have any electronics, like on newer vehicles, you may want to also jumper across the meter for a few minutes to protect the meter from the higher amps that the multiple computers use until they go to 'sleep'. This may take a few minutes. A regular test light is good for this, the light will go out when everything is shut down. Do not open any doors that turn on dome lights, hood lights, etc. These may hurt the meter also. If you have to have a door open, pull any bulbs that are on when the door is open. The amps that is read on the meter is the ignition off draw current. this should be less than .5 amps (500mA). If it is more, start pulling fuses and watch the meter for any drops. If it drops to below .5A, you found a circuit that needs investigating. There may be more than one, so start there and go on. Good luck!
