Just wanted to stop by and say hello, my name is Rob I'm from Casper and I have a 04 F350 4x4. The reason for joining this site is I need t replace the front wheel u joints, and was looking for tech tips cus the Haynes and Chiltons don't show any. So any help will be very apprieciated.
rob, I can offer no help for your U-joints but I can offer you a welcome. maybe try in the Super Duty and Heavy section or the Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Tires, & Wheels section.
Welcome Rob. There isn't really much more you need to know beyond what the Chilton tells ya. The axles are fairly easy to get out, its the u-joints that are a pain. If your axle seals are good, then ressembly is also a breeze. Follow Miles' advice, the Super Duty forum is definitely the place to check out. Holler if you have any specific questions, I'd be glad to help if I can!
