Yup, ours is awesome! I use the big diesel EX for towing and work and this Flex is the coolest for hauling around kids or stuff or just going out for dinner... flex is right with the way the seats fold down and allow for kid in one seat and stuff in the other, maybe a bike or some groceries or our new flat screen fit in very well.
Driving in snow is amazing, decent power, comfortable for my bigger frame, fits better in the second row than the passenger seat!
It aint no truck but it works very well
Just my .02

I was no impressed with the amount of seats or room inside the Flex. I think this is one of the first vehicles from Ford that I am dissapointed in lately.
It depends on what seat configuration you get. If you get the full bench second row, it'll seat seven but, if you get the buckets with the center console, it seats six.
My brother just bought a Flex a few weeks ago and he loves it. He got the Limited with just about every option there is. The rear camera, which is really cool, the navigation system, refrigerator in the second row console, leather seats, with the second row seats, there's a button just inside each door that if you push it, the second row seats fold up automatically. Makes it easier for somebody to get into the third row seats. He got dual DVD players, they're in the backs of the front seat headrests. He can control his sound system and heater/ac by touch screen on the instrument panel. Sound system has 12 speakers and sounds as good as any home system. It has a great ride and handles really well, and on the highway it's as smooth and agile as any vehicle I've ever been in. He also has the glass roof panels AND luggage rack which is rare. He bought it as a demo and the owner of the dealership drove and had the luggage rack put on. I think it's just a fantastic car and the seats are more like chairs than car seats.

This is probably the car we will get after we will add to the family: either right away after the first +1, or perhpas after the second one. Most likely will be getting a nice CPO, unless in the meantime they come out with a new diesel and or hybrid powertrain.

any info on that?

More power first: 350+hp Ecoboost in '10 for the Limited. About 1 mpg penalty for an additional 80hp. I've driven it; it fixes one of the few complaints most people had with the original. With a vengeance.

Ha, that's probably my next car after my 11-year-old Expy dies. I need a little more power for towing and when I have 5 others in the car than the normally aspirated 3.5 provides. Shoot, if it gets 16mpg in the city, then thats 50% better than what my Expy gets now.

Don't know if we are going for the ecoboost: don't really care for speed (we already own a fast/nimble car) and for towing the Flex does't have a chance with a horsetrailer...
But hopefully in the meantime they might be able to adapt the hybrid powetrain from the fusion or bring over a diesel from eruope (the 4.4L developed for the F150 might be a little of an overkill)

we have a 1-2 year window, but my wife is pretty specific: SEL or Limited, Cinnamon color outside, white rood, sun rood, sync and perhaps the powerliftgate; to that i would only add the xenon headlamps as they make a world of difference and still debating on the FWD/AWD
