2009 PSD's?

Does anyone know when they will hit?

I am waiting for an 05 350 to be traded in but that depends on when the 09's come in (what its being traded for) and the dealer doesn't have a clue. I am hoping it isn't 6 months from now

09's should be hitting the dealerships this month. Probably closer to later Sept. Truck will still be the same as the 08. The new ford diesel will be here in 2010. "Next Fall"

Thanks for the info.

Well, I am pretty sure the truck the guy is getting is a 2009. If it is the same as the 2008 thats his problem.

If everything is right with his old one I will swipe it faster than he can turn around and trade the new one back in for the old one Somehow I don't think this guy has done his homework - hes just going to buy a new truck regardless of the fuel mileage issue, which I am sure, if he knows what he gets now, will find out real fast.

I won't buy a new one, not until something is done with that damn 6.4l. I would prefer a little newer truck, but an 05 king ranch dually with 20k miles is a pretty sweet deal by itself...

rollerstud98 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
My dads 08 only gets slightly worse then my 03, the 6.4 is great. You need to do more homework on the subject. Not every truck has horrible mileage, thats just what you hear of more on the forums since the forums are made for people to complain

Well I would rather be easy on the 05 and do a few things to it to get up in to the 20's than max out in the high teens. I don't think a 6.4 can get up over 20 no matter what you do (legally and without voiding the warrenty).

I am a big fan of the 08 style, though. Out of all the trucks out right now the new 08+ takes the cake. I just think the EPA stuck too big of a foot in too fast. The engine manufacturers were stuck putting stuff on their engines that made them "comply", but it decreased their efficiency. I think over time things will smoothe out and both mileage and meeting EPA regs can happen. Until then I won't buy a new truck. I will get a 6.0l for now, if a ford at all, and look in to the models 4-6 years down the road. If that new 150 diesel comes out maybe I will get one of those
