Yeah, and in the next few years, I'll be able to pull my 5th-wheel with an electric truck charged by solar panels and wind turbines.

Tom,

Sounds like a pretty god deal to me. I know if my truck wasn't doing so well I would be jumping on the great deals being seen now.

I have no idea what November has to do with the economy as it is market based and the only thing the federal government can do is hurt it with increased taxes. Screw the nay sayers and buy the truck you want.

Go with the news. The DOW is up 150 points. Crude oil is down $3.00/barell plus. Gustav is slowing down. AND, for your sake, there will only be so many 2008's. Remember FORD pushed back the 2009's, and think about it. Will you get the same deal on a 2009? Suggested answer: HELL NO.

Explain to wife in MAN's terms that you need a new truck. Cold lunchmeat for dinner isn't that bad, and eventually she will move back and probably come back to bed. In the interim, your baby will be in the garage! Good luck,

I thought the original date was late June or early July 2008. Remember the 2008 SD's have been out for more than 18 months.

When I bought mine in July, the dealer told me that the SD plants were already closed and would noit start production until 9 September. Consider the source, but I believe that date or later is still fact...I have to stop by the dealer today...I'll ask...

OBTW..Didn't someone in one of these forums post that they ordered a 2009? Wouldn't he/she have a tentative build/delivery date?

I have a 2009 F-350, 6.4 liter, SD on order. They are scheduled to start the Job 1 build on September 16th. I received my VIN yesterday and should see the truck late Oct to early Nov.

Whoa November, that is a late start. Good to know I can push back my strategy to hard ball for an 08 if the need arises.

Well you're gonna love your rig when you get it but time sure is gonna pass slow until then bro.
