Truck Love

I have had my KR 4x4 for 18 months and have had no, none, zero problems. This thing is still as fresh and tight as the day I bought her. I have 24000 miles and drove it from Florida to Michigan this summer. Every morning I can't wait until I can drive her to work. I have owned 18 different vehicles from Mercedes to Corvettes to Toyotas to other cars and SUV's. This truck outshines them all. Just curious if others feel the same way.

I spent 2 weeks trying to buy a decent Chevy Tahoe/Yukon back in October 2006. A Ford dealer had a 05 Yukon used that we test drove.

I got my wife to let me drive the 06 Screw they had in the front row. We have had that set of keys ever since. Drove it home a few hours later that night.

I love my truck, and I'm going to buy a newer one eventually. My calculations say 2011-ish. But if this truck is still the great truck it is right now, I may just hold off on that and buy a Cobra in 2011.

I had my eyes on the Fx4 Cause it's a nice truck around 2 years ago. I thought I'd be driving one, one day. But then came across the Lariot When I was really looking for a truck. Well the private deal fell through and the KR was the next truck I came across. I like to buy private but after the last deal I went to the dealer. First truck I was shown was the KR. The sales man opened the door and I saw and smelt the leather, and I quickly closed the door and asked for something cheaper cause I'm on a budget. He showed me an XL and XLT, But my previous truck was a 88 F150 Lariot, and I liked the trim package. I asked the salesman how much for the KR he told me and It was $5000.00 more then I wanted to spend. I told him my budget and if he could do It I'd get it. Well he started to throw numbers at me but it was'nt good enough. I started driving away and as I was waiting to turn left I saw him running to me with his arm waving. He said ok lets go sign some papers. My 06 KR was what I wanted to pay and it was $2000.00 more then the 07 XLT with same millage I was looking at. I love my truck I smile everytime I turn the key on.

Yup, I spotted my truck at one of those "online dealerships" by my house, went and checked it out and fell for it right then and there. Only a hand full of gripes too... A. sparkplugs B. my truck doesn't have the tilt steering so I can't easily see the gauges and C. filling up the gas tank LOL.
But she's a keeper!!

Yep, I looked at a lot of trucks, from the Nissan Titan to the Chevy Colorado, even a few SUV's and cars. It came down to the Nissan Titan and the F150, and what sold me was the black interior, and the dealer incentives. I love this truck, the only thing was that I had to take it in for an alignment last week. 12k miles in 13 months isn't bad. In a perfect world, I'll be that old guy you see still driving the same truck he's had for 30 years. I'd keep it forever. Realistically, I know there's a lot that can go wrong in that time, and I'll probably end up trading it in someday. But man...the looks I get when I have the sunroof open and all the windows down....this thing is so awesome.
