Hello all,

Need help with the driver side map light. Pushed it and the lens went in the light, was able to fish it out but the light body is now loose and doesn't go on any more. Any way to get into the console to see what happened, or any ideas on how to repair?

Oh yea...this is the wifes car she has my Excursion towing our 26 ft TT so I would really like to get this fixed before she comes back(Monday!)Thanks

Hmm - never tried but they should pop in and out. I will have to look tonight and see. Anyone tried to take these out before?

 

Thanks for the reply Frat-man. But do you mean the entire console should pop/pull out? That would be great, then I can see what the heck I broke..BTW This console also includes the rear AC controls.

 

I believe the light itself pops out - kind of like the older A/C registers.

I have never had to take the overhead off so not sure - The DVD manual just says to remove - not how - typical of Ford.
