Outside Temperature Sensor???

Outside Temperature Sensor Question???
Hi,
This is my first post in the forums. I have a 2005 Ford F-150 Supercrew. It has the mini cluster panel which tells the direction and outside temperature. The Compass works fine but the Temperature is off by 12-15 degrees. I tried disconnecting the battery to no avail. Someone told me it may be stuck and to spray cold water on it and that may work, but I don't know where the probe is located. I would like any help on this if anyone knows anything. Thanks in advance.

It should be mounted on the core support, right in the center in front of the radiator. If you open the hood, it will be right in front. It's a black cylinder, about and inch long, with a point on the end opposite from the electrical connector. Odds are though, if it's reading wrong it will need to be replaced to read accurately.

if its bad fix yourself. I bought my truck and it went bad the first week they said they would fix it. So I took it to them and they wanted 80 when it was done I was like I thought you guys were going to fix it for nothing if I would have known it was that much I would have done it myself.
