doing a 4.0L OHV engine swap, have a question

Have a 2000 exploder with a 4.0L OHV and auto trans. I found a low millage 01 ranger, 4.0L OHV with a manual.

Are these engines externally balnced? If they are, would I need to have my auto flywheel to be rebalanced to match the manual.

Is there anything else I need to change?

Thanks in advance.

A 2001 Ranger comes with the newer SOHC version of the 4.0L, which of course is a much different animal than the OHV. So are you sure about the model year?

I found a little snag with this swap, 4.0 engine out of the explorer has 8 bolts that hold flexplate on, donor engine has only 6 bolts.

Question, is this the difference from 4x4 vs 2 wheel drive?

Other then that and the donor engine was a manual it appears to be the same as the original.
