5000 miles and already in for warranty work

Seriously, I already had the truck in the shop getting warranty work.

Relax, its nothing serious. I had a reverse light out. Im glad that i had no problem getting them to cover it but hell they took forever. the truck went right from the service lane to a bay and the truck was parked back outside about 5 minutes later. i saw the ticket go back to the service advisor and it sat on his desk for 10 minutes and he finally took it to the cashier. 30 minutes later, i was standing at the cashier window waiting on her to FIND my paperwork. I hate dealerships sometimes.

I wouldn't have even bothered taking it to the dealership for such a simple fix.
But I'm very **** about my truck.I won't let them touch it unless it's for a factory recall or a serious warranty issue.

I agree about normally letting the Dealership fix stuff...but the $1 replacement light isn't worth the hassle of dealing with a dealer IMO

you title had me all scared that something big had gone bad

When was the last time you bought a bulb?
While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com

roughly Feb 2007 right before I traded in my 1994 F-150. The Right rear running lamp went out, but I still had brakelight

new bulb was under $2 for a pack of 2

new ones are $5...still not worth messing with a dealer IMO

That's another reason I avoid the local dealership. The parts department charges list price for everything. Most of the time I can buy the parts I need online, pay shipping on those parts and still get them cheaper than I can at the local stealership. The last straw was when they wanted to charge me $27 for a fuel filter.

Hopefully your parts dept. treats you better.

Thumbs up

My local Ford dealer prices;
Motorcraft air filter- $14.72
Motorcraft fuel filter- $11.41
Motorcraft spark plugs- $3.83 each
Motorcraft transmission filter- $18.64
Motorcraft Mercon V- $4.44 quart

I think these are good prices!

This particular dealership sponsors the local SVTOA chapter and gives great prices to members.

lucky. I would kill to have a Ford Dealer who was active in the owner vehicle scene. Most are just sell only stores.
