IMO a mall crawler is pretty much any truck that is made to look tough but doesnt even have a speck of dirt under the chassi. I think about 90% of the trucks and SUVs out there fall under that category. I curently have a 2000 dakota 4x4 ( waiting on my brother in law to sell me his diesel 1999 f 250) and its mostly stock but its definately NOT a mall crawler. I added a winch and lights. I use the truck when I go hunting and camping but me and my family have outgrown it. yeah it has soem dings and dents. One of my buddies accidentally shot it with bird shot and chipped the hell out of the paint but I put some touch up to keep it from rusting.
Man im reading everythign I can jsut to get info on the 1999 f 250 diesel. So far all I see is good things. CANT WAIT.

Getting ready to go hunting

My first hunting trip truck was about 6 months old

Alright...Ive got the ULTIMATE Mall crawler. It puts eveything else shown on here to SHAME! I seriously could not stop laughing when I saw this thing. Imagine the money put into it....unlreal.
I was kinda in shock too, I stood there just looking at it for about 10 minutes, probably had people worried I was gonna steal something. I couldnt believe that someone would do this to be "Cool". And I looked underneath...looks like it came off the showroom floor!. The field its parked in is the most "offroad" this thing has seen. Notice the purple high-lift mounted to the hood, the 6 different gas cans, brand new shovels, pitch-fork, compressor, Coolers, the list is forever!
Anyways..here is is! Lets keep the thread alive and see if anyone can top it...

Wow, I like how the air compressor and winch have plastic covers to keep them clean, also I had to look at it for a second cuz I thought the front plate was european but it says "baby moose" backwards on it..

Good find!

I would guess like a camp chair, or maybe some ramps. incase you high center on the curb to get into the "4x4" show...

While its unlikely that the Hummer H2 will ever go off-road,isnt it actually built in a manner that would allow it to be pretty effective, its at a reasonable height, its center of gravity looks like it would be stable, its got aggressive tires on a normal size wheel, its approach/departure angles look reasonable, its got recovery gear onboard, judging by the front rack, its setup as a surf fishermen's beach truck.... as to all the colors, powder coating, fuel jugs,etc.. it looks a little silly, but compared to the 24" lift,40" tired,17 chromed shock per wheel trucks that have been posted i dont think this truck is in there league.... The Hummer may look silly, and yes its owner did have too much money along with too much access to 4wd parts catalogs, but this rig would probably do just fine off-road,not that i expect that it will go off-road.

iggy i see your point there. Never thought of beach anything actually.

But it does look well built, while the underside may not be dirty. Sand doesnt get bottom of vehicles dirty. not like mud does.

Looks like it maybe a fisherman or a something similars rig, just sleeps in the back area with the seats folded down... Lives out of his rig, explains the water, extra gas, chair upfront...

Wish i could get more info on the purpose of the build... o well... I will call this one, possible mall crawler possible beach rig...

i guess the tubes on the fold up deal could hold rods, and maybe the platform could hold up a skinny fisherman... and it might explain the massive purple tube on top, to keep long rods safe.

I still vote it's too blinged out...

good point on the purple tube on the top i was wondering what that was for myself...

I vote its a fishermans rig.... Most likely built by some place like sportsmans ware house to show case what they carry and what kind of rig you can build...

Im almost positive its a fishermens beach cruiser, all along the east coast they cruise the beaches, looking for signs of fish, birds crashing the water ,etc. when they locate them.they are all rigged up ready to go,front rack is also designed to hold a cooler,if they are fishing bait it will be set up with bait ready to go. The fish are typically very mobile,so you need a vehicle, binoculars, etc to chase them effectively. you may get a few fish and then the school dissapears,so you toss the rods in the rack, jump in the truck, and head along the beach til you locate more signs of fish......If you wanted to powder coat or paint for corrosion resistance great, but the color combinations say to me that the angler is a bit flamboyant, perhaps he is trying to fly a rainbow flag of sorts?
