that sounds fair, all around! Ive got 30 years driving time, and ive managed to avoid all but one moving violation, and a couple collisions with negligible damage,so id like to think im a pretty decent driver! that being said,id hate to have to use as an everyday driver,a truck with 19" of lift, worse still a 1/2 ton,let alone as an inexperienced teenage driver! Youve got a lot of bad drivers around, cars and trucks have a lot more power on average than they did in the late 70's when i began driving, cell phone usage doesnt help, etc. Ive only owned one truck with much of a lift,it was a 1972 F100 shortbed,it had a 428 w/ holley 4bbl on an offenhauser alum intake, headers, maybe a bit of perf. cam,np435,Dana21, disk brake d44 front,d60 rear,3.50 gears, integral power steering,35" tires, and what i would have guessed to be a total of 10" of lift. Im not sure what its HP #'s were, but it was pretty darn quick, even with tires too large for its axle gears,i never had to attempt any radical manuevers to avoid an accident, but im sure it wouldnt have been great in a slalom course! Too much lift, too much HP,not enough experience behind the wheel, every 4th driver on the road on a cell phone, lots of impatient drivers, you get the picture! There are very likely some similarities between this incident and the disaster at the off-road park we discussed, involving a tow strap and a winch cable being used to snatch another truck out. A combination of factors, bad judgement or lack of experience, equipment of an unsuitable nature for its purpose,an on and on and on........

agreed bob!!!!

Heck i learned to drive in a 69 f250, had strong arm steering... Strong arm windows a 260 ac, it was 2wd and was my only transportation for 2 years, that includes winters in montana too... I think i am a decent driver... If i feel i need some improvement in something i will go to a parking lot and teach my self what i can, reaction time comes with paying attention, cell phones are usually something i dont mess with while driving, i will answer a call ONLY if traffic is light and im not going highway speeds... Texting while driving? only at stop lights, while stopped. I get road rage every once in awhile, but usually i drive smart, dont get wild on the roads..

My truck is to loud at freeway speeds... I use my pa more for messin with the tech chicks and yellin at random people through the night... I dont use it for road rage... The size of my truck is what i use for that... If you piss me off on the road, i will try to intimidate you, and if you insist on messin with me, i will mess right back twice as hard... I dont get road rage easily, but some people i just cant stand!

I got one of then PAs too but I really dont get the chance to use it much cuase its not hard mounted. I bought it for mainly coyote callin but I will use it for whatever. I also use the size of the truck to intimidate people. Mainly tailgaters if ya get on me im gonna do one of two things, 1 give ya a brake check and 2 slow down even more.

Should be connected to frame... If you actually roll the truck, say something like you topple a few times down a hill... The roll bar is likely going to be ripped from the sheemetal bed and become useless. They should be attached to the frame...

MOST are not designed to work like that, but that is the best thing to do...

I see well I useally aint brave enough to take it on that serious of stuff. If I go on somethin like that ill take the jeep so I can get out quick if I need to. Its old and rusty like everything else I own and need a new body anyways so if that rolled it would give me a good excuse to get a new one.
