Fun area up there. Shotguns only although on a busy weekend it can be too crowded to shoot much if at all. Camp away from the main areas as the noise all night long will keep you awake. Careful about the park boundaries or if you wonder out of the area stay on the trails as there is a lot of wilderness around around it now. Watch yourself on hills or blind trails as the nuts will be blasting down right on you! For a lot of the riders out there safety is an unknown concept. Wish I could go!

Bummer! I really enjoy the area and know lots of fun trails! Already have plans that weekend so it's a no go for me. Hey you could wonder down south and do the Hammers??? If you haven't been this way take Camp Rock road to the junction of Camp Rock road (I know!) and continue out Troy road. Along the way take the side routes to the right to find the old mine shafts and cabins. Further past the gas lines you'll find the box canyon. Turn around and go back. There is a long way to circle back to Camp Rock road through the wilderness area but I don't think I could describe it here well enough for you to find it. Hope you have a good time!

We camp by "The Rock Pile" which is located on Bessermer Mine Rd a few miles past Soggy Dry Lake.
