I've been watching when I can, but I can't seem to get into it for some reason this year. I did manage to see Bolt's spectacular world record 100M run though.

I'm glad that the medals are starting to trickle in for Canada as well. Go Canada Go!!!!

I could never get into watching the Olympics, I only watch curling and table tennis, just because they're both the funniest damn things I've ever seen. How anyone could take something so stupid so seriously.

I'll watch it a bit here and there, but like most all sports, too much politics involved.

Still, it beats some of the crap that's on the boob tube.

I could have qualified for track & field for the U.S. Olympic team, but I guess
running the 100 meters in 58.89 seconds didn't qualify me.

I watch everday and call BS on the judging for China, seems China can do no wrong no matter what. I know there is going to be issues taken up with this after the olympics are over.

Agreed. Watching women's balance beam last night and the Chinese were falling all over the place and still getting medals.

I don't know how you can even get a score after you touch the ground. That should be an instant 0.

I liked watching the women's gymnastics. Judging is way off though, but it's not gonna keep me from watching talented individuals do their best on a world stage. Nastia Luikin's response to the question about Chinese gymnasts' age was first class.

Although my husband has his own opinions on the politics of what goes on ("bullsh....t" propaganda). He enjoys watching the athletes for the classic reasons. He prefers watching the individual and "classic Olympian" sports (i.e. Track and field, swimming, gymnastics, wrestling/lifting, fencing, Pentathlon/Decathlon and so on...)

Because we have satellite now, at least get to catch more of the events....its just trying to catch the right ones during their times. Would like to have seen the 2004 Athens one that way.

Yeah, the new scoring gymnastics scoring system is confusing at best and down right awful what happened. Hope they get this sorted out by the London Olympics.
